For parents and guardians
The platform parents trust
for their kid's recovery.
A 13 to 17 year old athlete cannot sign up on their own. You, the parent or legal guardian, hold the account. You give consent, you see the activity, you keep authority over your child's data. KneeEd is education and adherence support for movement, not medical advice.
Pediatric MSK context
Public-health context, not a KneeEd product claim. Source framing per the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics guidance on youth sport participation.

How a family account works
Three steps. One holder. Full authority.
The family-account framework keeps the legal account in adult hands while the athlete profile stays focused on the kid's movement. No direct minor signup. No shortcuts.
Step 01
Parent signs up as holder
You create the account in your own name. KneeEd verifies your email and records the holder relationship. The account is yours, not the athlete's.
Step 02
Add child as athlete
From the holder dashboard, you add a 13 to 17 year old athlete as a member profile. Their movement data lives there. Your name stays on the account.
Step 03
VPC verified, you keep authority
KneeEd records verifiable parental consent using a method that meets the FTC reasonable-effort standard. You retain consent, data export, and deletion authority until the member turns 18.
What is protected
Built around the kid, not the platform.
Minor accounts are treated differently at the database level. Profiles flagged as minors collect the minimum data necessary to support a movement plan. Marketing surfaces are turned off. Personalization that depends on third-party tracking is not run on minor profiles.
PHI minimization
Minor profiles collect movement, pain trend, and adherence. They do not collect data unrelated to the plan. Education and adherence support, nothing more.
No marketing to minors
No advertising network is invoked on minor sessions. No third-party trackers. No promotional emails to the athlete.
Age-gate at 13
Direct individual signup is gated to 18 and over. A 13 to 17 athlete enters only through a verified family account. Under 13 is not supported.
Holder DSR authority
Export, correction, and deletion requests for a minor profile are accepted from the holder. The athlete inherits the account on their 18th birthday.
KneeEd is education and adherence support. It does not diagnose injuries, prescribe treatment, or replace your child's physiotherapist or pediatrician. Read the full methodology for the complete data and safety posture.
Ready when you are
Set up the account in under five minutes.
You hold the account. Your child gets a movement plan they can actually follow. KneeEd never markets to a minor and never collects more than the plan needs.
Free to create. The athlete profile is added after signup.
